How does it work?

Too much alcohol usually means a hangover. The throbbing headache you feel after a big night is the result of alcoholic toxins breaking down into Acetaldehyde, the primary hangover culprit. Chingu accelerates alcohol and acetaldehyde breakdown, alleviating hangover symptoms like tiredness, nausea and headaches. Chingu also replenishes vital vitamins, minerals and antioxidants in the body so you can wake up clear headed, feeling fresh & energised and ready to take on your busy day.

Eastern medicine has been around for centuries but only now with the growth and scale of digital information age is the western world getting a glimpse of it’s benefits. Inspired by main stream products in South Korea, Chingu is a gel made from natural ingredients native to Asia that people have been taking for antioxidants, anti-inflammatory and hepatoprotective (or hangover relief) benefits.

Alongside other ingredients which all play a part, the Oriental (Korean) raisin tree fruit plays a primary role in the detoxification of alcohol and drugs in the body. For the scientists out there, the fruit, root, bark and leaves are a rich source of Dihydromyricetin (DHM), a compound traditionally used as an anti-alcohol herb and hangover cure across Asia.

How do I take it?

If you’re taking our gels, these come in a variety of delicious flavours for you to easily take and digest! No need for any water as these tastes just like your sports and workout gels.

If you’re taking our pellets (coming soon), just like any nutritious supplement, chase it down with some water.

Where do the ingredients come from?

All of our ingredients are natural and native to Asia and Oceania.

The main ingredient, our Oriental Raisin fruit tree extract (Hovenia dulcis), grows in the cool climates of southern central South Korea at an altitude of 50-800m, to a width of 80cm and to a height of 10-15m. According to clinical trials, extraction from the tree itself has detoxification effects, with the fruit being the most effective. The fruits have an appearance like chicken feet or coral. The taste of the fruit is sweet with seeds similar to dates.

We work with our partners in South Korea and Taiwan to manufacture and distribute our products to Australia and the United Kingdom.

How much do I take?

Chingu prevents severe hangover symptoms including throbbing heaches, upset stomach, irritability or muscle aches and gives you the energy to start the day but as with all things, moderation is key so please ensure you are drinking responsibly.

That being said, depending on the extent of your drinking, you may benefit from taking one or more Chingu throughout the night. Firstly, take 1 before drinking if you’re having a moderate night, Take 1 before and 1 after for a big night and for a big weekend, 1 before, during and after/before sleep will yield maximum results.
